Kim’s ministry to women began over thirty five years ago where she served on staff at a church in Santa Cruz, CA. Her greatest joy was the shared commitment of women encouraging women to live and for God’s glory. She and her team were honored to take that vision to Zambia, Africa where they lead retreats for pastors’ wives over many summers. “We gleaned from them as much as they did from us! They’ve become a sisterhood as deep and loving as any other.”
Kim is also a psychology junkie, and with that comes her love of sharing life’s hardships over a strong cup of tea with an ear to hear. It was her pleasure to serve as a volunteer counselor with the team at Respero.org and to complete the Townsend Leadership Coaching program. Kim is a feature writer with The Grit and Grace Life team where she brings much of her training into the growth-writing process.
Kim is married to her best friend, Dave, who is also retired from full-time ministry. Together, they’ve raised their blended family of five children and survived! They are overly excited about their twelve grandchildren and constantly run out of frequent flyer miles in their attempt to keep up with them.
Currently living in the Pacific Northwest, Kim loves writing, reading by the river, creating space for women to connect in small groups, artisan teas, teaching dance fitness at her local athletic club, and all the biking, hiking, and year-round sports the outdoors has to offer.
